5/16/2010 day 2

We had our informational meeting this morning. Checked out the generator, electric hookups and the rest of the motor homes mechanical parts. Everything A OK. Got on the road about 11 am. Our first stop was at Blue Earth, Minn. There they have a giant green giant, about 60 feet tall. When we stopped to look at him a man came up to us and asked if he could take our pictures, turns out he was the editor of a local paper "Fairbault County Register" As I mentioned yesterday they have a lot of wind mills. That coupled with a 32 foot by 12 foot motor home, its like a sail. OK when its at your back, not so much when it is blowing across the highway and hitting us broadside. We drove 300 miles today, stopping at Mitchell SD. This is the home of the Corn Palace. We are in a camp ground just out side of town. Tomorrow we hope to go to wall drug store and get to Mt. Rushmore in time to see the sites.
